I just got a hold of the new album from Muse, entitled The Resistance.
I just have to say, it's brilliant, just like I expected it to be. I mean, they've got Matthew Bellamy, he's a complete genius, I don't think I've seen anyone like him. I really love this band with a passion that comes right from the very pit of my soul.
You see, to me, Muse isn't just a music. It's Art.
The Resistance has got 11 brand new tracks, and every one of them is pure pleasure for the ear to hear. Not only do they have great riffs, they've also used the piano a lot more in this album. They have even made three brand new symphonies.
The last track, Exogenesis: Symphony part 3 [Redemption] is the track that affected me the most when first hearing it. I actually had to leave the room because I didn't want to start crying. I haven't felt anything like that since I heard the second solo on Guns N Roses' cover of Knocking on Heavens door.
You know what it's like when you hear a really good song, and you hope that they, for the love of God, plays it just one note higher? Well, Muse always hits that note, and it makes your heart skip a beat when you realize that you've just heard one of the most perfect songs you've heard in your life.
I like a lot of bands, but there's only a few who actually have been able to move me in such a way like Muse have done. I love how you can really feel the music. I dedicate this blog to them; Muse. My musical Gods. Thank You.
